Sale Item: Life Size Terracotta Sword General estimated height 6 feet and weight 500lbs; given to the Chamber in 2006 after Chamber tour and visit to China. This particular statue is crated and ready for pick up. The Sword General shown is an exact replica of crated offering.
Item Description: Generals are the highest-ranking terracotta statues and also the tallest among the vast unearthed Qin warriors. This general was found standing beside chariots ordering his infantry to advance. He is wearing a long, double-layer uniform and an exquisite armor vest. The collar, chest. shoulders and edges of the armor are decorated with knots. He ties the tassel string of the official crest on front chest. His hair is pulled back and buned on the back matching with his official crest. The general is majestically sticking a sword against the ground, with strength and pride. His great height and the outstanding build suggest that he may be promoted from a vigorous and courageous fighter for his ability in the ancient combat. There is a wonderful attention to the details which distinguished him a general: the small size of armor links (the smaller the link, the more comfortable to wear and the more labor-intensive to make. and therefore the higher rank the man who wears it) : and the gorgeous official crest (in the form of a double-tailed bird. A symbol of bravery and skill).
Representing the Interest of Business with Government
Promoting Political Action for a Favorable Business Climate
Our "watchdog," the Legislative Action Committee (LAC), is an invaluable resource to the Greater Corona Valley Chamber and its members. Composed completely of Volunteer Chamber members, this 15-member committee's mission is to maintain a favorable business climate in Riverside County and the State. LAC discusses current issues and bills that affect business and make recommendations for Chamber members to then act upon. They assemble letter-writing campaigns, initiate discussions with legislators, and send representatives to speak on the floor during hearings in Sacramento. All funding for this advocacy program is provided by the proceeds of the prior year's Monte Carlo fundraiser. Membership in the Legislative Action Committee is selected to represent the business makeup of our service area.
This program includes a Legislative Advocate who provides the expertise and resources to act on any legislation that would greatly impact local business.
